La Liga giants Real Madrid are said to be preparing offer for France International forward Anthony Martial.
According to Daily Mail, the UEFA Champions League defending champions has enlisted Martial their summer target.
Martial is apparently top on the wish list of Zinedine Zidane as he seeks to rejuvenate his already ageing squad with young stars.
Although no offer has been made for Martial signature, it is reported that the Los Blancos are plotting an £80million move for him next summer.
The 21-year old forward has struggled to cement a constant starting place in Jose Mourinho’s team this season. He has often come from the bench to find game time as Mourinho prefers the combination of Marcus Rashford, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Romeru Lukaku in his attack.
Despite his limited game time this season, the former Monaco star has managed to score seven goals and provided six assists in 19 matches in all competition.
Madrid were initially interested in Kylian Mbappe last summer but were pipped to his signature by Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain.
Having landed the likes of David Beckham, Ruud van Nistelrooy and Christiano Ronaldo from Manchester United, it is believed the good relationship within both clubs could see Martial move to Spain next summer.
Speaking in a recent interview amid report linking him to Madrid, the sensational striker reveals the difficulties he encountered last season and vowed to play at his best for United this season.
“I had some problems off the pitch [last season] that played in my head. I wasn’t really focused,” Said Martial.
“But now when I go out onto the pitch, I want to tear it up.
“Some people forget my age. Given my talent, they expected me to explode earlier. But everyone has their own pace.
“With my club I want to win as many trophies as possible, and with the national team I hope to establish myself in the first team and win the World Cup.”
