Manchester United are set to miss out on the services of Juventus superstar Paulo Dybala, according to reports from Italian outlet Tuttosport ( via thesun ).
Paulo Dybala was one of the most highly sought after players in Europe at the start of last season following his exploits at Palermo and it was Italian giants Juventus who were eventually able to win the race to sign the Argentinean international.
Juventus splashed a whopping £35 million in order to secure the services of the young striker and it has to be said that the investment has already paid a lot of dividends for the Old Lady.
Dybala managed to take his game up to the next level at the Juventus Stadium last term, scoring a sensational 23 goals in just 46 appearances in all competitions and the 23-year-old is undoubtedly one of the best strikers in world football at the moment despite his young age.
Given Dybala’s wonderful form, Premier League giants Manchester United are said to have identified the ex-Instituto star as one of the main candidates to potentially improve their currently struggling attacking lineup.
United managed to lure star Paul Pogba from Juventus this summer and the Red Devils were also said to be confident of doing the same with the deadly striker.
However, it looks like United look set to face disappointment in their hopes of securing the Argentine youngster’s service due to the fact that Juventus are reportedly planning to tie him down to the club to a new lucrative deal.
According to Italian outlet, Tuttosport, Juventus are planning to double Dybala’s current wage package and offer him a deal to stay in Turin till 2021. Dybala has not shown any indication that he would like to leave Juventus anytime soon and if indeed the youngster is handed a new deal, Manchester United may well have to look at other targets in order to improve their attacking lineup.
