Manchester United winger Ashley Young has stated that his side aren’t focussing on the possibility of Leicester City sealing the Premier League title on Sunday, and are far more concerned with their own quest for a top four finish.
Leicester need just two points from their last three games to seal an incredibly unlikely title, whereas United remain an outside bet to finish in the Champions League qualification spots. Young, a league winner with the club in 2013, had this to say to the Manchester Evening News on the subject of Sunday’s game:
“We’re not concentrating on them, we’re concentrating on ourselves and we’re looking to get ourselves into that top four spot and putting pressure on the teams above us going into the last few games of the season.
“So the only incentive is to go out, win and push up the league.”
Young also had some encouraging words on United’s emerging youngsters: “Our new boys have integrated into the squad the last couple of months and, as seniors, you want to help them as much as you can and to make them feel welcome when they come into our dressing room, and I think they have done.”
