Manchester United are set to announce their second signing of the summer, after making sure that Memphis Depay signed for the club early, they’re now about to announce the signing of right-back Darmian.
Giampiero Ventura, coach of Darmian’s current club Torino, has confirmed to outlet Sky Italia that Matteo Darmian will sign for Manchester United over the coming days.
“Darmian will play in the Champions League with Manchester United, it’s a dream for him. Darmian deserves a top club like Manchester United.”
The clubs have agreed on a fee for the player, in which Darmian will now fly to Manchester on Thursday to complete a medical at the AoN training complex, to also complete personal terms and image rights.
Manchester United boss is also looking to bring in other signings over the coming weeks, with the squad flying out on Monday after to embark on their pre-season tour of the US.
The signing of Darmian will be good news for Manchester United, not having to place Antonio Valencia at right-back. The out of favour Rafael Da Silva is set to leave the club by the end of next week.
