As we draw a close the January transfer window, it seems that all that Louis van Gaal’s activity is regarding his goalkeeper, with Victor Valdes signing at the start of the year, it was revealed today that Manchester United goalkeeper Ben Amos has joined Championship side Bolton Wanderers on a one-month loan move.
Amos, who is now 24, has been linked with a move away from Manchester United over the past few weeks, with Wolverhampton Wanderers and Bolton more than interested. A move away, with the timing right is just what Ben Amos needs, having to face a tough time getting match action at Manchester United. David De Gea, Victor Valdes and Anders Lindegaard all ahead of him in the pecking order under Louis van Gaal.
The 24-year-old has only made one league appearances since his promotion to the senior squad in 2008, and after previous loan moves to Hull City and Carlisle, all is hoping that this latest move to Bolton Wanderers works out.
Amos will have to prove himself at Bolton Wanderers though, coming into the club facing competition from former Premier League goalkeeper Adam Bogdan.
Good luck to Ben.
