Barcelona goalkeeping legend Victor Valdes, currently training with Manchester united through the final stages of his recovery from a serious knee injury, is dude to make a decision on his playing future soon.
Manchester United are not the only club being linked with a move for Victor Valdes. According to Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo, Mexican side Queretaro are also interested. Their report suggests representatives of Queretaro will travel to Manchester to discuss a move with Valdes and having managed to sign Brazilian legend Ronaldinho in the summer, they certainly have the financial backing to lure Valdes.
Apart from what could be more money, Valdes would be first-choice for Queretaro instead of being back-up to David de Gea at United were he to sign.United’s interest in Valdes depends almost exclusively on whether Anders Lindegaard leaves the club as there would be no room or need for the Spaniard to join if Lindegaard stays.
Valdes is now training with United’s first-team and differing reports insist Valdes is keen to sign a deal with Louis van Gaal’s side, so there is plenty of continuing speculation about whether his future will be at United. With the January transfer window coming up, it shouldn’t be long before there is more clarity on this situation.
