Radamel Falcao has announced that he is available for selection
The Colombian striker on Sunday night announced via social media that he has returned to training and he is “ready to help the team in the next games”.
The news will be welcomed by manager Louis van Gaal who has been without the deadly striker for the last 3 games.
The announcement from Falcao means he comes into contention for the game against Hull at Old Trafford on Saturday. With Robin van Persie yet again failing to impress this time in the impressive 2-1 for United at Arsenal.
Van Persie only managed 12 touches for the time he was on the pitch and he was once again replaced by 18 year old James Wilson after 70 minutes. The concerning thing for van Gaal is the fact that James Wilson made much more of an impact in 20 minutes than van Persie made in 70 minutes.
It wasn’t complicated what Wilson did he ran around and worked hard for the team which van Persie seems unable to do at the moment and its not hard to see why the rumours of United looking to offload van Persie may be true. Whether Falcao will have enough match fitness to start against Hull remains to be seen but it may be that Louis van Gaal has lost patience with van Persie and may chose to throw Falcao straight back into the action.
If Falcao did go straight back into the starting line up it would see him link up with Wayne Rooney as a striking partnership which is a mouth watering prospect with the pace they both possess. There is no doubt they could form a world class partnership for Manchester United.
