Manchester United defender Luke Shaw could miss the rest of 2014 after being ruled out for at least a month with an ankle injury which he suffered against Arsenal last weekend, according the the Telegraph.
The report states that Luke Shaw has had scans this week and they have revealed that the left-back may even miss six weeks in another injury blow for Louis van Gaal and Manchester United.
The 19-year-old suffered ligament damage in Manchester United’s 2-1 victory over Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday evening.
Shaw left the Emirates on crutches and wearing a protective boot in which fans feared the worse then, but now after scans, it seems he will spend a length of time on the sidelines.
Louis Van Gaal is already without Daley Blind, Marcos Rojo, Phil Jones, and Rafael Da Silva – With Shaw adding to the headache for the United boss.
Manchester United are back in action this Saturday afternoon, against Hull City. Louis van Gaal more than likely to adopt the 3-5-2 formation again keeping the youth at the back that kept Arsenal out for most of the match at the Emirates.
