Marcos Rojo Joins United – ‘It feels like a dream’

It seems that leaks yesterday from Argentina are true, Manchester United are all set to sign Marcos Rojo, a defender from Sporting Lisbon.

Manchester United have signed Ander Herrera and Luke Shaw thus far this summer transfer window, but Louis van Gaal and Ed Woodward know that just two signings is not good enough to challenge for the Premier League this season, this was plain to see on Saturday as they were beaten 2-1 to Swansea City at Old Trafford.

United have acted quickly, signing Marcos Rojo in a rumoured £16million deal with Luis Nani going to Sporting Lisbon in a season long loan move.

The 24-year-old World Cup finalist was openly speaking with Argentinian radio on Monday evening about the transfer, stating that ‘It feels like a dream, to be a Manchester United player.’

Rojo will now travel to Manchester on Tuesday morning and meet with Manchester United to complete a medical before signing personal terms based a four-year deal.
