Javier Hernandez has been the one player that has been talked about for most of this summer in regards to leaving Manchester United, under new manager Louis van Gaal it seems that there is no spot in the squad for the Mexican striker, behind Wayne Rooney, Robin van Persie and Danny Welbeck for a first-team spot.
There have been many teams that have shown an interest in Chicharito, but none more that Atletico Madrid. The La Liga outfit are rumoured to lodge an official bid for Hernandez in the region of £9million.
Madrid is not the only club that are said to be ready to bid, Juventus are keen to bring the goal poacher to Turin to join up with former Reds Patrice Evra and Paul Pogba. If Manchester United are to officially bid for midfielder Arturo Vidal over the next few days, then Hernandez could be included in their offer.
Hernandez is surplus to requirements at Manchester United, especially with the youth of James Wilson coming through the ranks.
His Mexican coach Herrera has urged him to leave Manchester United, he said:
“I think [Chicharito] needs to leave. I think [Juventus] would be a good option for him,” the Daily Star quotes Herrera as saying.
“When a coach doesn’t want you – when you have your best experience, your best moment with them, and now the coach that wanted you is no longer there – it’s time to move.
“I think there are a lot of opportunities. They are not bad opportunities. If he goes to Juventus that would be an extraordinary team.”
Hernandez will not be the only one to leave United this summer, with Marouane Fellaini, Will Keane, Nani, Anderson, Rafael and Wilfried Zaha all said to be on the firing line.
