Manchester United have touched down in Detroit, flying from Washington for their final group match pre-season game against Spanish giants Real Madrid. Louis van Gaal’s men know that a win on Saturday evening against Madrid will see them into the final, maybe even facing Liverpool or Manchester City on Monday night before the squad return to Manchester.

This summer’s pre-season can only be seen as a success, much better result wise than last pre-season under David Moyes. United have beaten LA Galaxy, AS Roma and Inter Milan during their time over in America thus far. A win against Real Madrid would be the icing on the cake.

Former Manchester United winger and legend Cristiano Ronaldo is back in training for Real Madrid and could feature against his former team on Saturday, were 110,000 fans will pack into the stadium for one of the biggest watched football matches of all time.
