New Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal hasn’t even stepped foot in Manchester yet, but is already taking a hold on his future squad by ordering double training sessions for the United squad back at Carrington as they look to get back on track after finishing in a lack-lustre seventh place last season under David Moyes.
Louis van Gaal is still with his Netherlands squad as they look forward to making this summers FIFA World Cup Final, hosting Argentina in the semi-final on Wednesday night.
Assistant manager Ryan Giggs has been in charge of training back at Carrington with the aid and training experience from Albert Stuivenberg, who has been the latest addition to the backroom staff under Louis van Gaal’s orders.
Some of the Manchester United players have been at Carrington since last week, partaking in fitness and some ball work. But over the past few days the main core of the squad have returned to full training and in a request from the manager himself, they have now taken up double training along with gym and fitness work.
Manchester United fly out next week on their pre-season tour of the USA and Louis van Gaal has requested that all those that featured in the World Cup for England, must be in attendance.
